fun night, botox and cake balls

Well that title pretty much sums up our last three days. Are you curious yet?

Saturday was Fun Night at our school.

Delaney and Hayden had fun in the photo booth!

And they played lots of games and got lots of prizes.

Delaney loved the obstacle course!

And she got her face painted. Hayden and Tucker opted for tattoos.

We left Fun Night with 2 cakes from the cake walk and a cake pop maker. The cake pop maker was in a raffle basket. Our friends won the basket and already had a cake pop maker, so being the great friends they are, they passed it on to Delaney, who has been begging for one for months!

The cake pop maker led to making cake balls this weekend. No wonder I can’t seem to keep the weight off once I lose it!!

This morning, Nate had botox injections in his hamstrings. No, it isn’t because he has wrinkly hammies. It helps with the tightness and spasticity in his legs and allows him to straighten his legs a little more. Everything went well and an afternoon off from work gave me a little time to catch up on the blog.

Life’s been busy lately and I’m afraid busier times are ahead. Be patient and stay tuned for prom and graduation…the next big events in our lives!

catching up

It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Here’s a  VERY picture heavy update of what we’ve been up to:

Last Saturday was the community Easter Egg Hunt. And later that day was the Wichita State game, which we won!! Go Shockers!

Easter Sunday started off with an egg hunt at home. Followed by church.

We ate lunch with Jeremy’s family. Here’s all the “kids” playing on their electronics.

We had dinner with my family. Hayden and Delaney had a great time hunting eggs. It was a beautiful spring day!

The next day was Miss Delaney’s 5th birthday. We had a party here at home with her grandparents. I can’t believe she’s 5 and will be in kindergarten this fall!

It was a rather busy week with doctor’s appointments, kindergarten round-up, tagging items for a consignment sale and refrigerator repairs.

Yesterday our library hosted a Fancy Nancy Tea Party. Delaney went with her Nana. That’s a tattoo on her leg, not a giant scab. It’s especially fancy, don’t you think?

Yesterday was also Delaney’s birthday party at the Y.

I love all the black and gold!!

It was a gymnastics party and the kids (and adults) had a great time!

The party overlapped the start time of the Shockers’ Final Four game. So everyone headed back to our house to cheer for the team. And boy, did we cheer! In case you missed the game, it was a good one. Shockers led almost the entire game and gave Louisville a run for their money. But in the end, we lost by 4.

It was a great season for Shocker basketball!! I’m proud to be a WSU graduate and fan!

Today our baby girl is five years old. And that’s no April Fool’s joke!

She’s had a fun day so far. She took birthday treats to school and then spent the afternoon with Nana and Papa and Uncle Chris (who is visiting the lower 48 for two weeks). And there’s more fun to come with cupcakes and more presents this evening. Stay tuned…
